Consistency is everything. I don’t know that a truer statement has ever been made. Wait, you are worthy. That is also as true as they come.
They both fit in this context too.
Consistency is everything when it comes to just about anything you want to do. Parenting, learning to gentle parent ( hello me), working out, eating right, your morning routine, learning a new language and the list could go on and on and on. Honestly if you want anything to work even before you have the habits made or skills in place you need consistency.
This isn’t really about that per se. What it is about is motherhood and consistency. It seems to be a dilemma we have right now that consistency means perfect.
What this IS about, is that we do NOT have to be perfect. We do not have to have everything in place to be consistent. Consistent means that you keep at it. You keep striving. You do it repeatedly. Not that everything is awesome and you have to show the world how wonderful you are. Not that you don’t *uck it up and not that you can’t show the world the parts that you think are not polished.
Mothers and women everywhere need to stop falling into this trap. We need to stop believing that our worth is somehow tied to our perfection.
We need to give each other and ourselves grace to allow the human in us to show. We are divine, magical beings and we can do anything we want. We can do it when we want, how we want and how imperfectly we want.
You can have, be or do anything you want. Please stop letting your worry of perfectionism get in the way. Be consistent and human with whatever your goals are because that is all you need.
I am here cheering for you! You are beautiful and worthy!
